A recognized leader in sustainability, Lisa is one of the few real estate consultants in the United States with expertise in financing programs for green real estate projects. Her experience includes developing all components of a green real estate investment strategy.
Lisa’s unique knowledge of the opportunities in green real estate has made her a sought-after consultant, speaker, and thought leader on green financing and urban sustainability. She has been an invited speaker and trainer at the Urban Land Institute, the US Green Building Council, and the Triple Bottom Line Investing Conference.
Her sustainability work has included developing key components of an executable green and triple bottom line real estate investment strategy:
- Defining “green” real estate investment parameters, including due diligence process, mortgage risk thresholds, and loan pricing/proceeds parameters
- Establishing a market of best-in-class green real estate service providers and specialists to provide third-party services
- Direct origination, underwriting, and closing on project-based loans for LEED- certified commercial real estate developments for internationally prominent investors
- Structuring of warehouse lines and private placement securitization package for a pilot green residential mortgage conduit
- Structuring of several LEED-certified, zero-energy mixed-use real estate transactions
- Structuring of a LEED-certified green hotel transaction
- Structuring and arranging of solar fund capitalization

Before founding Galley Eco Capital, Lisa was a banking executive, concluding more than $3.5 billion in transactions in several European countries and North America. In her former roles, she helped open real estate operations in New York and San Francisco. She also successfully negotiated workouts on underperforming credits, which significantly reduced potential losses. Before her lending career, Lisa worked with real estate investors in asset management and property management positions.
